Who we are
micio is a trading name of DUQUE LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 13122478. Registered office: International House, 12 Constance Street, London E16 2DQ. You can reach us through the contact page.
These terms apply when you use micio.uk and when you buy from us. Please read them before you order. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t order.
Your order
When you place an order, you are offering to buy the pieces in your bag. We confirm that we have received it by email. The contract between us starts when we email you to say your order has been sent.
We may decline an order, for example if a piece is no longer available, if there is an obvious error in the price or description, or if we can’t deliver to your address. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full straight away.
We only sell to customers in the United Kingdom, and our pieces are for personal use, not for resale.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT. Delivery within the UK is free. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout when you place the order.
Payment is taken when you place the order, through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
If we find an obvious pricing error after you have ordered, we will tell you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
Delivery
How and when your order arrives is set out in our shipping policy. The pieces become yours, and your responsibility, once they are delivered to the address you gave us.
If something outside our control delays your order, such as a strike, severe weather or a problem at a border, we will tell you as soon as we can and do what we reasonably can to limit the delay. If the delay is long, you can cancel and we will refund you for anything not yet delivered.
Changing your mind and returns
You can cancel within 14 days of the day after delivery, for any reason. How to do it, and how refunds work, is set out in our refund policy.
Faulty pieces and your legal rights
We are under a legal duty to supply pieces that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For detailed information on your rights, visit Citizens Advice or call 0808 223 1133.
Using the pieces safely
Every cat is different. Please follow the care and fitting notes on each product page, check that a piece fits the place you mean to use it before your cat does, and keep an eye on your cat the first few times it uses something new. Photographs are as accurate as we can make them, but natural materials such as wood, felt and ceramic vary slightly from piece to piece.
Our responsibility to you
If we fail to keep to these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure or of our negligence. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the pieces.
We supply the pieces for domestic and private use only. We are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
Your information
We only use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
The site
The words, photographs and design on micio.uk belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Please don’t copy them for commercial use without asking. We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we may change or pause it at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you placed it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your home courts.
If you have a complaint, please write to us first through the contact page. We reply within two working days and will do our best to put things right.
Other important terms
If a court decides that part of these terms is unlawful, the rest stays in force. If we don’t insist straight away that you do something you are required to do, that doesn’t stop us asking you to do it later. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
