Cats like to watch the room from above, which is why the top of the wardrobe gets so much use. This gives them a place up there that’s meant for it: a curved wooden perch with a soft grey cushion, fixed to the wall.
It takes up no floor space, so you get the height of a cat tree without the cat tree.

With screws into the wall. On brick or block, use plugs made for masonry; on plasterboard, use plugs made for plasterboard or fix into a stud. Check it’s firm before your cat uses it.
A drill, a spirit level and the right plugs for your wall. If you’re not sure what your wall is made of, a local handyman can fit it quickly.
It needs screws in the wall. If drilling is out, the radiator bed and the hammock go up without tools.
